Taryn corresponds, bakes, and decorates, all wedding and large event orders to ensure the highest quality of of service, and product, is received by her clients.
Taryn takes a limited number of weddings & large scale events per year.
Delivery is required for all large event orders to guarantee the safe transport and set-up of your cake & desserts.
Two tier cake, serves 40+: $330+
Three tier cake, serves 48+: $450+
Many cake sizes available, as per your expected guest list.

Cutting Cakes
Single tier cutting cakes are accepted as time allows.
They will be subject to a delivery fee, and are treated with the same love and care as our tiered cakes.

Wedding FAQ's
Do you offer wedding cake tastings?
We offer Bridal Sample Boxes 1-2x per year. Dates are advertised through social media, so be sure you follow us @cake_bytaryn.
We do not currently offer sit down tasting and consults- this is not feasible with our business model.
How much cake should I order?
Allow one slice of cake, or one standard cupcake, per guest.
If you have dessert provided by your caterer, we suggest ordering 50-60% of your guestlist, in cake.
If you are offering only mini cupcakes, or a dessert able, we suggest allowing 3-4 pieces per guest. Keep your flavors to a minimum as guest will have the mentality of trying "one of everything."
How much do flowers cost?
Flowers are roughly $8-$10/stem. You can anticipate an additional $65-$150 charge for adding flowers to your cake.
Do you offer fondant wedding cakes?
No.
Do you offer Gluten Friendly or Vegan items?
We do not offer GF/Vegan/Dairy/Egg/Sugar Free items at this time.
How far in advance should I order?
We would suggest reserving your date 10-12 months in advance for May-September weddings and events. All other orders can generally be accommodated with a few weeks notice.
You don't have a storefront- where can I pick-up my order?
Taryn works out of a private kitchen- closed to the public. All wedding orders require delivery to ensure the cake/desserts arrive in their best condition.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery fees are assessed based on the reception location, the duration of travel, the time required to set-up your desserts/cake, and the overall complexity of the delivery. Delivery fees begin at $85 for all wedding orders.
How far do you deliver?
Cake by Taryn services south of the Malahat. If you would like our goodies for your up island wedding, please get in touch and we can arrange a friend or family member to bring them up island for you!
